A day in the strawberry fields

This is My Earth volunteers in Israel met on November 17 to pick up strawberries in Kadima-Zoran. This village situated to the north of Tel Aviv is where some of the Israeli volunteers of This is My Earth were born.

Because of the current conflict in the region, many foreign workers from other countries have left Israel, and few are harvesting the fruits.

Therefore, many farmers in the area need volunteers to help them do so, and local communities are organizing themselves to save the harvest.

That’s precisely what this TiME team did. After a whole day in the strawberry fields, a good stretching session and a birthday celebration capped off the reunion with friends and the intense work in nature.
